Stephanie J. Fangman, MD
Dr. Fangman provides pediatric care to children and young adults from newborns to 21 years of age. She has worked as a pediatrician for 37+ years.
Dr. Fangman is a doctor who takes time to listen, assess her patient’s medical problems, and educate parents about the condition and treatment plan. She also helps connect parents to other medical services and testing as needed.
Born and raised in Indiana, Fangman spent much of her youth in the Ft. Wayne area before moving to North Vernon during her sophomore year of high school. When she was very young, Dr. Fangman wanted to be either a Rockette, an astronaut, or a doctor. As she got older, her path became clear.
After graduating from North Vernon High School, Dr. Fangman attended Ball State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology and Chemistry in 1976. She went on to study medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, graduating in 1980. In 1983, Dr. Fangman completed her residency in pediatrics at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.
After her residency, Dr. Fangman joined Columbus Pediatrics, where she worked for most of her career. She currently works part-time for MD Live and part-time at Centerstone Health Services.
In her free time, Dr. Fangman enjoys pursuing her creative interests and spending time with her family. She is an artist/painter and an avid crocheter.
