Anne M. Leach, MD
Doctor Anne Leach provides medication management for patients with mental illness and addictions. She enjoys working hand-in-hand with therapists, case managers, and individual patients to help them heal and stay on track with their mental health goals.
Dr. Leach also oversees the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program for Centerstone, Inc., in Bloomington. ACT is a multidisciplinary team treatment approach dedicated to improving outcomes for people with serious mental illnesses who are at most risk of psychiatric crises.
Education
Leach attended the University of Chicago for her undergraduate studies, where she graduated with honors, earning a bachelor’s degree in Economics in 1981. While in school, she worked in medical research and got interested in medicine. She went on to study medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine, graduating in 1986.
From there, Dr. Leach returned to Chicago to complete her residency at the University of Illinois. She received her board certification in General Psychiatry in 1992. Before beginning her career in adult psychiatry, she worked as an assistant professor, focusing on psychiatric research at the University of Illinois. Dr. Leach returned to Bloomington, Indiana, to be closer to family.
In her free time, Dr. Leach enjoys travel, reading, yoga, meditation, and spending time with her beloved animals.
