Meet Heather Blue, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) specializing in adult and geriatric medication management at CHS since 2021. Heather’s expertise is founded on years of extensive education, hands-on practice, and the understanding that optimal mental health outcomes depend on shared decision-making. Thus, she carefully considers the individual needs, concerns, and goals of each patient that she treats. 

Heather’s commitment to compassionate, patient-centric care is evident in every aspect of her practice, from initial consultations to follow-up appointments, making her the perfect ally for anyone seeking empowering support on their psychiatric mental health journey.

Education

Heather’s impressive educational background spans nearly two decades, beginning in 2006 when she obtained an ASN (RN) from Ivy Tech. She went on to receive an RN-BSN degree from Western Governors University in 2017, then graduated with an MSN from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2021. She became ANCC Board Certified the same year. When she’s not busy enhancing the lives of her patients, Heather enjoys spending time with her loved ones, watching her children play sports, camping, and curling up with a good book.
