Diane Kaye Hirtzel
Diane Kaye Hirtzel’s nursing career began in 1987. Her treatment style can be described as empathetic, attentive, and thorough. She believes in taking the time to listen to her patients and understand their concerns in order to build trust and establish a strong provider-patient relationship. Diane strives to provide clear explanations of medical conditions and treatment options, and she encourages her patients to ask questions and be active participants in their care. When it comes to the provider-patient relationship, Diane values open communication and mutual respect. She believes that people should be treated with dignity and compassion, and that their opinions and preferences should be taken into account when making decisions about their treatment. By working together, Diane believes that she and her patients can achieve the best possible outcomes and help them to live their healthiest, happiest lives.
Education
Diane graduated from Indiana State University in 1987 with an undergraduate degree in Nursing. She then graduated from Indiana University in 2007 with a Masters of Science in Nursing in Pediatrics, and in 2022 from Indiana University with a Psychiatric Mental Health certification. She is board certified in both pediatrics and psychiatric mental health.
Diane’s experience spans both school-based clinics (where she provided healthcare services to children for six years) and employee health clinics where she provides care to both adults and children. When she has spare time, Diane loves photography and photo editing – a creative outlet that allows her to express herself in a unique way. She also enjoys spending time outdoors. Whether it’s going for a hike, taking a walk in the park, or just sitting outside and enjoying nature, being outdoors makes Diane feel refreshed and rejuvenated.
Lastly, spending time with her grandchildren brings her so much joy. They are full of energy and enthusiasm, and being around them always makes her smile. Diane cherishes every moment she gets to spend with them.
